Old Small Hall

The old small hall has a capacity of about 60 and about 40 when seated. It has a divider which when pulled across splits the room into two. The hall is ideal for parties, meetings and activity groups. This hall is sometimes hired along with the large hall as it is the perfect place to serve buffets and drinks. The shutter seen in the photo’s can be opened to give direct serving access from the kitchen. The hall has a pull down screen above the shutter for projection for training, etc. This is also the only hall where a bar may be set up.

The kitchen has been built to a professional standard and has an electric oven and hob, an electric warming cabinet, a large fridge, microwave, water boiler, two large sinks, kettles and crockery for 60 people. Cutlery can also be supplied on request. There is a large shutter that, when raised, gives direct serving access to the old small hall.

Stage

The stage was constructed in 2017 and has been used for many events including plays, pantomime, music events and presentations. It has an adjoining green room which is accessed from the main corridor. For performances the access to the right hand side of the stage is achieved by a walkway around the back of the stage. If the stage is not required for an event in the large hall there is a shutter which comes down to block off the opening.

Recreation Area, Play Park, Car Parks, Green

The village hall also owns the car park, play area and green. The car park has space for about 32 cars and can be supplemented by the overflow car park which will accommodate about 20 cars. There is also plenty of parking available in the nearby streets.

The play area was updated a few years ago and is enclosed by wooden fencing. It has many fun pieces of equipment as well as the more traditional roundabout and rocking horse. There is a younger child’s climbing apparatus in a separate, fenced off, part of the play park as well as swings for them.

The green is used for the annual fete and until recently a music event. The green is well maintained and quite often used for picnics and football.

Snooker Club

The Village Hall also has a snooker room which is run semi independent of the hall. It comprises of a large room with a full size snooker table. The club has its own entrance for its members.
